WHAT IS A WORK/LIFE COACH?
A Work/Life Coach is a professional who comes along side you to listen well, ask powerful questions, and help you move toward a goal or a change, whether it has a work or personal life focus.
IS COACHING LIKE THERAPY?
No, coaching is not therapy, counseling, consulting, mentoring or discipleship. The coach is not the “expert” and does not give advice. Candidates for coaching must be ready to move forward and look to the future. If there are unresolved hurts from the past, therapy may be required before the coaching relationship can begin.
ARE YOU READY FOR WORK/LIFE COACHING?
- Are you ready to be completely honest with yourself?
- Are you ready to clarify your mission, purpose, and vision as well as your goals?
- Are you ready to invest your time, energy, and financial resources to follow through on your commitments and reach your goals?
HOW DOES WORK/LIFE COACHING WORK?
Once we’ve established our partnership, we’ll set up our weekly sessions. You will fill out a prep form before each session. You set the agenda and the focus of our coaching sessions while I manage the coaching process. My role is to provide you with the support you need to articulate your dreams and desires, clarify your values and purpose, establish your visions and goals, while giving you the accountability you need to achieve your goals. As your coach, I will give you my full attention while asking challenging questions to deepen your learning. I will encourage you to explore your options and identify limiting beliefs. I will be a reflective listener, hearing not only your words but your heart. I will encourage your strengths while being honest, direct and objective about the things that hold you back.
